Guest reviews
Absolutely amazing spot for anyone looking for a unique experience in one of New Zealands hidden gems.
The Glamping tent has all the amenities one could think of and views to die for. I’ve stayed in places all over the world and this would have to be one of my favorite places, the owners have done a brilliant job with how the place is designed and while you are in a tent it is a completely luxurious experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a private getaway.
Totally recommend Drift Off Grid Glamping as a truly world class experience!
Everything was perfect and it was obvious that no expense had been spared with the comfortable and glamorous touches throughout. We absolutely loved it – it was such a classy, relaxing experience and we would return in a heartbeat!
Exceeded all expectations!!
This glamping tent provides the most tranquil environment for reprieve. The inside of the tent is beautifully furnished and decorated and the panoramic view of Tata Bay that you see from your tent is breathtaking. Jana does not miss a beat with her attention to detail. She is extremely responsive and aims to please her guests. Would highly recommend this stay to all family and friends that visit the Golden Bay region. Your tent was by far our best and most unique stay in our travels across New Zealand! Thank you for letting us enjoy a little piece of heaven on earth. We hope to be back sometime in the future!

FAQ
Yes! Our Tents have log burners inside to keep you completely toasty and warm. We have an endless supply of wood so you will always be cosy. We also have under floor heating in the bathrooms!
Extra blankets and 2 inner duvets to snuggle into you will be well an truley comfortable and warm.
Our tents are fully off-grid with a solar system providing electricity. If it’s sunny, the system will be generating power. If it’s not sunny, you’ll be using power from the bank of batteries. We are also have a back up generator to ensure you never run out.
We have built the tents to be as comfortable as possible in all weather conditions. However due to the nature of glamping accommodation – strong winds and rain can affect the tents more than a bricks and mortar building. Being perched high on a ridge with spectacular views, it can go from dead still to extremely windy and anything in-between. Each of our tents have wood fireplaces, water tight, and many of our guests love snuggling up inside by the fireplace during large storms and hearing the rain fall onto the canvas – it’s all part of the experience!
We aim to keep our Glamping Tents as peaceful as possible. For this reason we provide you with your very own electric buggy to reach your Glamping Tent.
Follow the signs to the Glamping carpark. Park in the designated parking area and grab any of the available buggy’s and follow the signs up to the Glamping Tents.
The bonus of having your very own buggy is you can take it down to the beach as they are licensed for the road!

Tent Korimako is the front Tent closest to the ocean. Level with the ground, it has a large outdoor area directly in front of the tent and the baths are on an added deck on the side of the tent.
Tent Kanuka is behind Tent Korimako and is higher up. It is perched up in the trees and therefore the outdoor fire pit is on the ground at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the tent. The baths are on the front balcony directly in front of the bedroom.
Both Tents have been tastefully decorated with luxury interiors with different colours. Both Tents receive breakfast, all luxury amenities and use of their very own electric buggy.
